Build a Successful Real Estate Career in Oklahoma—
From Licensing to Lifelong Learning

In Oklahoma, applicants must also be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen or legal resident and of good moral character. The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC) requires completion of a 90-hour Basic Real Estate course from an approved provider before applying. After coursework, candidates must submit an application with OREC, provide fingerprints for a background check and successfully pass the state and national portions of the licensing exam. Oklahoma issues a provisional sales associate license initially, which is valid for one year. During that year, the licensee must complete a 45-hour Post-License course to transition into a full sales associate license, all while being sponsored by a licensed Oklahoma broker.
